How to Make a Hand Shadow Deer
Hand Position Reference
Instructions
- Turn the hand sideways: Use the radial view so the long profile reads as a muzzle.
- Pair the snout: Bring the thumb, index, and middle fingertips toward the same point.
- Keep the face narrow: Let the index stay extended so the profile does not collapse into a fist.
- Add an eye: Drop the ring finger slightly toward the middle finger to create a visible eye.
- Lift the ear: Extend the pinky upward, then pulse the snout gently for a small sniffing motion.
This same one-handed silhouette can also read as a llama.
App practice focus
The Shadow Pals app treats deer as a beginner finger-pairing figure. The important comparison is the side profile: long muzzle, small eye break, and one raised ear.
