These terms govern your use of the Shadow Pals website at shadowpals.com and the Shadow Pals iOS app. By using either, you agree to these terms. Shadow Pals is developed and operated by Awesome People Software.
Using Shadow Pals
Shadow Pals provides educational content about shadow puppetry, including tutorials, articles, 3D hand position models, and guided practice tools. You may use the website and app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not misuse the service or attempt to access it using methods other than the interface and instructions we provide.
Accounts and subscriptions
The app offers free content and an optional paid subscription (Shadow Pals Pro) that unlocks additional figures, viewing angles, mastery levels, and new content as it launches.
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple via your App Store account. Pricing is displayed in the app before purchase.
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to their App Store refund policies.
Intellectual property
All content on the Shadow Pals website and app, including text, images, 3D models, illustrations, and software, is owned by Awesome People Software or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from this content without written permission.
Shadow puppetry as an art form belongs to everyone. Nothing in these terms restricts your ability to practice, perform, or teach shadow puppetry using your own hands and creativity.
Third-party videos and creator credit
Some parts of the website reference or embed videos from independent creators for educational and community-discovery purposes. Those videos and their associated channel assets remain the property of their respective creators or rights holders. Shadow Pals is not affiliated with those creators unless we explicitly say so.
If you are a creator or rights holder and believe a credit, link, or embedded source should be corrected, updated, or removed, contact us through /contact and we will review the request promptly.
User conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or the servers and networks connected to it.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise automatically collect content from the website.
Disclaimers
Shadow Pals is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Hand and finger exercises carry inherent physical risks; use common sense, take breaks, and stop if you feel discomfort.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Awesome People Software shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
