Hand Position Reference
Instructions
- Open the hand all the way: Stretch the fingers long without locking them stiff.
- Spread the fingers evenly: Leave comfortable space between each finger so the shape feels balanced.
- Open the thumb away from the palm: Let it sit naturally to the side to frame the classic starter pose.
- Keep the palm broad: Flatten the palm toward the light so the silhouette reads as a full open hand.
- Use this as your base pose: This is the clean reset shape to return to before moving into more specific animals or gestures.
Make it read clearly
- Relaxed fingers look better than hyperextended ones.
- If one finger disappears into another, widen the spacing just a little.
- This is a great calibration pose before switching into wave, peace, rabbit, or dog.
